Ken is an established, trustworthy and highly skilled provider with over 15 years of experience in infancy to elderly Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Critical/Urgent Care. In 2005 Ken started his mission towards earning his professional degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2009, he continued to further his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he took his oath to assist individuals in need of medical attention. After graduating, Ken began his career in Cardiac Intensive Care with FirstHealth of the Carolinas of Moore County. He then furthered his employment through First Health of the Carolinas Hospice Home Health, leading into the Emergency Department. From this point on is where his passion for health and wellness truly ignited to be the positive difference in each individual path he crossed. In 2020, Ken moved forward and began a new endeavor at Atrium Health Urgent Care in Albemarle.

Ken is well regarded in the Montgomery and Stanly County areas, earning recognition for his quality and patient-centered care as a top Medical Provider treating and diagnosing complex conditions. Ken’s style of practice ranges from traditional to alternative/functional medicine. He knows the medical field is an ever-changing field and takes ongoing education seriously and makes it a point to invest in himself. He is passionate about keeping up with the newest products, techniques, and technology to always provide his patients with the best care and outcome. Ken is a listener; he delights in taking the time needed to hear your story/medical history to give him the opportunity to provide the most effective treatment for your well-being. The past seasons of numerous and valuable experiences are what lead him to proceed with opening his own health and wellness private practice. Ken has a deep passion to help others feel better and lead happier lives. He believes in the mind and body connection, and how we are made up as a whole person and not a series of parts, just as Hippocrates “The Father of Medicine.”

In Ken’s time away from work he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, spending time on the water, being with his church family and just enjoying life to the fullest. Ken, his wife and their daughter live at Lake Tillery. They are all Montgomery County natives. Together, Ken, his wife and daughter will all take part in offering Carolina Health and Hydration to individuals in the small town of Mount Gilead, NC and to the surrounding areas. They all look forward to promoting healthy, positive lifestyle changes to better the overall quality of life.

Carla is the Office Manager and Esthetician at Carolina Health and Hydration. She has been an active Licensed Esthetician in North Carolina for 24 years; graduating at the top of her class in 2000 from CCCC. Carla is a professional skincare consultant and specialist. She specializes in Anti-Aging Treatments, Body Sculpting and Laser Hair Removal. She has attended extensive seminars and training in Atlanta, Georgia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Carla is a Montgomery County native. In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending Church, being out on the water at Lake Tillery with her husband Ken and daughter Lauren.
